Job summary

PODS is seeking a CDL driver in Port Saint Lucie, FL for daily delivery and pickup of containers to customer locations. You will operate a commercial truck with a lift, follow safety rules, and maintain customer rapport.

Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, handling add-on deliveries, using handheld devices for verification, and supporting storage center operations as needed. Must have CDL A or B and be at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• Requires CDL A or B license.
• Minimum 3 months of experience as a CDL driver.
• Must be at least 21 years of age; valid CDL and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a lift to load and unload containers at customer sites.
• Perform and log daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift.
• Accept add-on deliveries to meet business needs.
• Use handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate forklift and/or overhead crane as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and inspect containers prior to delivery.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers.
• Communicate with supervisor on questions or issues; prepare driver notes.
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center.
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed.
