Job summary

160 Driving Academy is seeking CDL Class A Theory Instructors to guide students through knowledge and permit requirements that launch their driving careers. This in-person role is based at our Tulsa, OK location, with a four-day core week and potential mid-week day off.

You will teach CDL theory in a virtual classroom, cover safety regulations, and help students achieve permit readiness while modeling professionalism and safety.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with 24+ months of tractor-trailer experience.
• Residency in the applying state and willingness to travel to Tulsa, OK.
• Safe driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage a virtual classroom.
• Organizational skills to keep multiple students on track in an online environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach CDL knowledge at Tulsa location through virtual classroom instruction.
• Break down CDL topics including safety regulations and FMCSA requirements.
• Prepare students to meet CDL permit testing standards.
• Model safety and professionalism in every session.
• Track attendance and progress, providing support as needed.
• Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
• Communicate clearly to help students master the material.
