Job summary

160 Driving Academy is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Instructor Trainer to teach students from pre-trip through CDL exam, in yards and on-road settings. You’ll work with a team of instructors at a designated yard and may cover other regional yards as needed.

This local, hands-on role keeps you home most nights, offers a merit-based wage, monthly bonus pool payouts, and opportunities to advance from Yard Instructor to Regional Manager.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with required driving experience and clean MVR.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and screening.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving in yard and on-road settings.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections and maneuvers.
• Maintain training records and evaluations.
• Cover for other instructors at regional yards as needed.
• Ensure safety, compliance and curriculum adherence.
