160 Driving Academy is seeking a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer to teach students from pre-trip inspections to CDL exam day, in yards and behind the wheel. You’ll work with a team of instructors, with occasional coverage at other regional yards, and help keep the yard clean and presentable.

This local, hands-on role pays for outcomes that matter and offers path to advancement within a growing network of yards; relocation may be required for some assignments.

Competenze

• High school graduation certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL with 24 months of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience.
• State where you obtained license must match applying location.
• Manual transmission experience; able to teach it.
• MVR free of violations.
• Able to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Background check clearance.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Residence in applying state or relocation secured.

Mansioni

• Teach Class A driving skills using hands-on training in outdoor yards on automatic and manual transmissions.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and on-road driving.
• Prepare students to pass CDL testing standards on the first attempt.
• Track student attendance and progress; provide additional support when needed.
• Maintain accurate training records, evaluations, and documentation.
• Report all incidents and accidents to your lead and corporate in a timely manner.
• Work closely with fellow instructors to deliver a consistent student experience and follow curriculum.
• Help keep the yard and building clean and presentable.
• Cover for other instructors at nearby regional yards in emergencies.
• Assist with transfer of trucks to repair operations and neighboring yards for use.
