Job summary

Lone Star Truck Driving Academy is seeking a CDL instructor to mentor students in safety skills and trucking best practices. The educator will deliver daily hands-on training, oversee equipment use, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include supervising trainees, maintaining training records, and teaching pre-trip inspections, basic control skills, and road driving to advance safe driving proficiency.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with ≥5 years of commercial truck driving experience.
• DOT Medical Examiner Certificate and ability to pass DOT drug screenings.
• Proven skills in student training, safety compliance, and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate driving operations to students.
• Oversee safe operation and equipment during training.
• Supervise trainees and maintain attendance/training records.
• Provide daily in-person instruction on pre-trip inspection and driving skills.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Monitor and enforce safety standards during training activities.
