Job summary

Harbor Foodservice is seeking a Class A CDL driver for local delivery training and progression to a full CDL A license. The role emphasizes safe driving, customer service, and adherence to FMCSA and DOT regulations. This is a union position with company-paid medical/dental/vision, pension contribution, paid vacation, sick pay, holidays, and EAP.

Pay ranges from $23.00 to $26.00 per hour. Ideal candidates will be 21+, with a safe driving record, and able to obtain a CDL learner’s permit within 2

Qualifications

• Safe driving record is required.
• Ability to read/write/record data and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver merchandise accurately, safely, and efficiently using hand-trucks, ramps, and/or lift gates to customers on a predetermined route.
• Operate equipment safely, including hand truck, pallet jack, scanner and printer.
• Provide the highest level of service and product integrity through safe, timely deliveries.
• Deliver and stack merchandise on customer premises.
• Record delivery accurately by obtaining customer signatures.
• Follow FMCSA guidelines to reduce risk.
• Record mileage and hours of service; maintain driver logs per DOT rules.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and DVIRs.
• Maintain legal weight limits and distributions.
• Practice defensive driving and safe handling of loads.
