Job summary

Veritiv in Ventura, CA is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver to transport goods from warehouse to customers and plants. You will cover 15–20 stops daily, ensure cargo security, log trips, and coordinate with dispatch for pickup and delivery instructions.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and at least 12 months of driving experience. Forklift certification is preferred but not required. Rate of pay is $28 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Problem-solving and attention to detail required.
• Valid Class A CDL and 12+ months driving experience compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive to various destinations with approx. 15-20 stops daily.
• Maintain cargo security to prevent shifting and damage; safety is the priority.
• Maintain truck log per state and federal regulations.
• Inspect truck equipment and tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
• Transport items from warehouse to plant or pickups to ship goods.
• Maintain contact with supervisor/dispatch for instructions.
• Prepare receipts and collect payments when required.
• Check delivered product and quantities for accuracy.
• Operate auxiliary equipment mounted on trucks (hydraulics, hoists).
• Move items from receiving/production to storage or other designated areas.
