Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team. The role focuses on safe, timely deliveries, customer-friendly service, and reliable transportation of stock between locations.

The position includes potential warehouse tasks and adherence to DOT rules, with first-shift operations and a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety. We value teamwork as well as the ability to work independently, with training on equipment like liftgates and warehouse systems.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 1st shift.
• DOT regulations followed with a clean driving record.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred and required within six weeks of hire.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment; liftgate experience helpful.
• Familiarity with computerized warehouse systems preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management and customer relations skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum age of 21.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and ensure on-time delivery to sites.
• Visually inspect trucks and report defects to supervisor.
• Operate according to a scheduled route.
• Provide professional customer interactions for a positive experience.
• File and retrieve delivery documents and monitor inventory.
• Follow mandatory work instructions to safeguard people and environment.
• Report problems with facilities or customers promptly.
• Operate equipment and machines to achieve efficiency.
• Assist with warehouse duties including loading/unloading and order filling.
