Job summary

Veritiv Corporation in Charlotte, NC is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to join our team. You will transport goods, inspect loads, and maintain accurate delivery records while delivering excellent customer service and staying compliant with DOT regulations.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, 12+ months of driving experience, and the ability to work a first shift schedule. Hazmat endorsement is preferred and time is spent on both driving and basic warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Verifiable Class A license and 12+ months driving experience compliant with all regulatory requirements.
• Must be available to work 1st shift.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred and required within your first six weeks of hire.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment; liftgate experience preferred.
• Familiarity with a computerized warehouse system preferred.
• Excellent organizational, time management and customer relations skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and supplies onsite and offsite within established procedures to ensure on-time delivery.
• Visually inspect loaded trucks to ensure orders are properly pulled, packaged, and loaded to avoid damages.
• Work according to an assigned schedule.
• Provide professional interactions with customers for a positive experience.
• Maintain delivery records and monitor inventory availability.
• Follow safety and environmental guidelines to safeguard personnel and assets.
• Report problems with facilities or customers.
• Operate equipment and adjust variables to improve efficiency.
• Support warehouse duties as needed, including loading/unloading and order filling.
