Job summary

QXO is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to safely transport building materials to customer locations and job sites in the Detroit area. The role combines driving with hands-on loading, securement, and documentation to ensure timely deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

You will work under DOT/FMCSA regulations, maintain a clean driving record, and represent QXO professionally while delivering exceptional customer service and supporting branch operations.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license in good standing.
• Minimum 1–2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety requirements.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate flatbed trucks and various trailers.
• Able to meet physical requirements and lifting tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport building materials to customer locations and job sites.
• Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections per regulations.
• Plan routes considering traffic, weather, and site access.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and securement.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and utilize electronic logs.
• Represent QXO professionally during customer interactions.
