Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery, a family-owned freight carrier, is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to deliver and pickup palletized freight and large shipments. The driver will operate tractor-trailer or straight truck, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain safety standards.

Hours are Monday–Friday with overtime; starting pay is $23.00–$27.00 per hour based on experience. Full-time benefits include health and dental insurance, PTO, 401(k), and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a pre-trip inspection to ensure safe operation.
• Deliver palletized freight and pick up shipments from shippers.
• Verify load paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Collect payment for shipments when needed and return documents to the office.
• Maintain DOT safety certifications and equipment cleanliness.
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pickup as needed.
