Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. in Duluth, MN is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to operate tractor-trailer or straight truck and deliver palletized freight along our next-day network. Hours are Monday–Friday, starting 7:30 AM with 10–15 hours overtime weekly.

Pay ranges from $24.00 to $30.75 per hour, with overtime at time and a half after 40 hours; a $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered to qualified drivers. Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, PTO, 401(k), quarterly

Qualifications

• Operate a manual transmission.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
• Must possess good customer service and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work independently and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
• Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms.
• Deliver palletized freight in a timely manner to customers and pick up freight from shippers.
• Verify all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Collect payment for shipments as necessary and return bill of ladings to the office for billing purposes.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies.
• Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily.
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed.
