Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. in Shelbyville, IN is seeking a full-time Driver to transport building materials with a tractor-trailer.

This Day Shift role requires a valid Class A CDL and at least 2 years of driving experience, with potential Saturdays based on business needs. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, load/unload using available equipment, ensure cargo safety, and deliver top-notch customer service to dealers and job sites.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (DD214 acceptable).
• Willing to tarp loads using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver materials to dealers, distribution centers, and job sites using a tractor-trailer.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Load and unload with Manitou or Moffett.
• Verify cargo and ensure safety and compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs.
• Follow safety procedures and complete other duties as assigned.

Base pay starts at $35.00 per hour

Shift: Day Shift, full time

Duties and Responsibilities

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands-on OTR delivery driving position some Saturdays may be required based on business needs.

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
