Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Caldwell, ID is hiring a professional driver with a Class A CDL to operate a tractor-trailer, delivering building materials to dealers, distribution centers and job sites. The role emphasizes safe driving, customer service, and weekend availability.

You will perform pre/post inspections, load/unload, follow DOT guidelines, and maintain equipment while working with a team or independently on flexible schedules. Base pay starts at $28/hour.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience required (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Clean driving record
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
• Operate trailer mounted forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Multi‑drop delivery experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions

Responsibilities

• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett

• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Occasional weekend work
• Flexible work hours
• Other duties as assigned

Job Details

Base pay starts at $28 per hour.
Shift: Sunday - Friday. This position will primarily be over the road with some local deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor‑trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top‑notch customer service. This is a hands‑on delivery driving position; some weekends may be required based on business needs.
