Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Woodland, CA is seeking an experienced delivery driver to transport building materials to dealers, distribution centers and job sites using a tractor‑trailer. You will perform pre/post trip inspections, ensure safety, and provide top‑notch customer service.

The position requires a valid Class A CDL, 2 years of driving experience, a clean driving record, ability to tarp loads, and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience (DD214 acceptable).
• Ability to tarp and strap loads using Conestoga XP Roll Tarps.
• Operate trailer-mounted forklift as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections thoroughly.
• Deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers and job sites.
• Ensure DOT compliance and safe driving at all times.
• Load/unload using forklift and verify cargo content.
• Report repairs promptly and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

Job Details

Pay Range: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday, some weekends included

This position will primarily be over the road with some local deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers, and construction job sites using a tractor‑trailer. The role requires safe driving, delivery, and top‑notch customer service. It is a hands‑on delivery driving position; occasional weekends may be required based on business needs.

• Perform pre‑and post‑trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Occasional weekend work
• Flexible work hours
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• 2 years of commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience acceptable)
• Clean driving record
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
• Operate trailer‑mounted forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Multi‑drop delivery experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
