Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Bus Driver to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. The driver will ensure safe and comfortable transportation for passengers, upholding professionalism and customer service.
Position Details
- Position subject to collective bargaining agreement.
- Pay: $20.70 per hour starting; progression to $21.20 over 1 year.
- Benefits: Vacation 5 days after 1 year of employment; paid sick leave and personal leave; 100% covered medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days; life insurance; 401(k) retirement benefits; 8 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute operations by following designated routes and schedules, adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations.
- Provide exceptional care and assistance to passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
- Perform comprehensive pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and maintain cleanliness and equipment readiness.
- Uphold company policies rigorously, including seat belt enforcement, emergency response, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- 21 years or older.
- Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
Physical Requirements
- Work outdoors in varying temperatures, weather, and humidity; the job is performed outside, often alone and in remote locations.
- Sit for extended periods up to 6–8 hours per day; walk long distances, often on uneven surfaces.
- Push, pull, and lift objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access ground level equipment.
- Endure heavy traffic, dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
Drug‑Free Workplace
