Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License and CDL with Air Brake Certification.
• Experience with bus fleets or school transportation preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts classroom and behind-the-wheel bus driver training.
• Evaluates performance and ensures basic skills are met.
• Informs drivers of rules, regulations, procedures, etc.
• Evaluates driving performance for safe operations.
• Investigates department accidents to improve procedures.
• Schedules training and testing to maintain staff.
• Coordinates maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Participates in meetings and trainings.
• Reports staffing issues to management.
• Other duties as assigned.
