Job summary

The Blood Connection, Incorporated is seeking a CDL Driver / Bus Deployment Driver to move bloodmobiles and mobile collection vehicles between garages and blood drive sites. The role emphasizes vehicle movement, logistics, and operational readiness of mobile assets.

The driver will deploy and retrieve buses daily, stage vehicles at sites, and ensure equipment is secured and fueled. This position focuses on transportation, not donor collection, with schedule-driven shifts and adherence to safety

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid Driver’s License and valid CDL with no major infractions required.
One year of related driving experience preferred.
Ability to operate large commercial vehicles safely.
Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment as needed.
Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Ability to follow written procedures and operational instructions.

Responsibilities

Transports bloodmobiles and mobile collection vehicles between garages, staging areas and blood drive locations.
Deploys and/or returns a minimum of two buses daily according to schedule.
Completes AM deployment and PM pickup assignments as scheduled.
Stages buses at locations per operational standards and safety guidelines.
Parks vehicles and connects shore power as required and returns them safely to garages.
