Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking a CDL Trainer to deliver classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to CDL applicants and current drivers. You will prepare trainees for knowledge tests, inspections, and driving operations, while coaching safe driving and maintaining accurate training records.

The role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a year‑round workload and a $3,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
• Minimum of two years holding a Class B CDL with P and S endorsements.
• Strong knowledge of safe commercial and school bus driving practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to coach individuals with varying driving experience and learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to CDL applicants and existing drivers.
• Prepare trainees for CDL knowledge, pre-trip inspection, basic vehicle control, and road skills exams.
• Teach safe school bus operation, defensive driving, and student transportation procedures.
• Evaluate trainee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
• Maintain training records and documentation.
• Cover routes or field trips when training demand is low.
