Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a motivated Program Coordinator to support the CDL Body Camera Program at the Blythewood Headquarters. This is a two-year temporary grant position with opportunities to contribute to program monitoring, training, and stakeholder reporting.

You will supervise equipment deployment, provide end-user IT support, maintain inventories, and collaborate with testers and management across the state. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted with prior approval.
• Must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s License (Class D) and be at least 21 years of age.
• Must successfully complete a CDL Examiner Training Course within three months of being hired.

Responsibilities

• Monitor usage of body cameras and tablets, evaluate test administration, report findings, and make recommendations.
• Provide technical support to end users and work IT and various vendors to resolve equipment issues.
• Distribute and setup body cameras and related equipment for third-party testers. Train third-party testers on usage, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with program monitoring and maintenance of the CDL Third-Party Tester Body Camera Program.
• Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Assist with creating, maintaining, and distributing statistical reports.
• Provide information and updates to management and stakeholders.
• Attend legislative, public, stakeholder meetings and present information.
• Performs administrative and other related duties.
