Job summary

Lakeshore Waste Services is seeking Commercial Drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks with lift attachments for waste and recyclable pickups. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, report issues, and ensure containers are emptied and sites left clean.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL, a DOT medical card, and ability to read and speak English for safety training and directions. Ideal candidates are at least 18, eligible to work in the US without sponsorship, with a clean driving record

Qualifications

Eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid Class B CDL.
Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire.
No DUIs or OVIs within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
No license suspensions within the last 2 years.
No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
Must read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy-duty trucks with load lift attachment and provide container pickup service.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and document checks (DVIR).
Report unsafe situations or service issues to Route Manager or Dispatch.
Back up route efficiency through proper container handling and position on customer properties.
Dump containers completely and leave customer sites clean and debris-free.
Complete and submit customer tickets when excessive yardage must be removed.
Follow route assignments and complete end-of-day documentation and checkout.
