Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Relief Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and service customers on assigned routes. You will ensure vehicle safety, comply with company and regulatory standards, and complete vehicle condition reports daily.

The role emphasizes courteous customer interactions and adherence to safety procedures. Two years of prior commercial driving experience is preferred, with a Class B or higher CDL and air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle before and after shifts.
• Drive to service locations and operate the truck per safety rules.
• Load and unload refuse, and operate the compactor.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues.
• Identify improper waste containers and tag them accordingly.
• Monitor waste for unsafe materials.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform spill cleanup per safety standards.
• Keep daily reports and route/productivity sheets up to date.
• Meet productivity standards and service customers on time.
• Follow safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
