Job summary

Texas Disposal Systems is seeking a driver to operate a side load truck on an established route, delivering loads to transfer stations, MRFs, landfills or composting sites. You will ensure safe operation and courteous service to customers, complying with all regulations.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, route management via onboard technology, and end-of-shift reporting. A valid Texas CDL with a safe driving record is required, along with willingness to work overtime and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of medium/heavy truck driving experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use onboard technology to manage routes and logs.
• Good command of English for public interaction and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time in uniform with PPE.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspection.
• Follow route via paper or electronic instructions and use available tech for progress.
• Operate truck safely and efficiently, minimizing wear and tear.
• Complete end-of-shift duties including post-trip inspection and documentation.
• Maintain DOT hours-of-service compliance and report issues to dispatch.
• Attend safety meetings and keep required licenses and medical card current.
