Job summary

Republic Services in Texas is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal for customers. You will ensure the vehicle complies with safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects.

Responsibilities include performing thorough vehicle inspections, following route sheets, loading waste, and maintaining professional interactions with customers and dispatchers.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Must adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Good customer service skills and professional conduct.
• Ability to read route sheets and service customers on assigned routes.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate heavy truck on designated route and at disposal site.
• Interact with customers, dispatchers, and co-workers in a courteous manner.
• Identify unsafe waste containers and tag appropriately.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and required reports.
