Job summary

Farmland Fresh Dairies Newark is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to operate a 26ft refrigerated straight truck across NYC, NJ, and Albany, NY. You will deliver and unload products while meeting tight time windows and maintaining DOT compliance.

The role requires weekend work, long shifts, and reliable customer service to ensure accuracy and satisfaction for diverse customers including schools, hospitals, and grocers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
• Valid interstate DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Must pass Clearing House Query.
• Ability to unload 50–60 lb boxes manually and push/pull 100–200 lb with a hand truck.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• English reading/writing adequate for safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows.
• Maintain Department of Transportation rules.
• Unload merchandise using hand trucks.
• Provide an excellent customer service experience during delivery.
• Operate 26ft refrigerated straight truck across NYC, NJ and Albany, NY.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a delivery position responsible for driving a 26ft Straight Truck, delivering and unloading various products for our customers. Overtime hours, working weekends and holidays, and starting at various evening start times are required in order to successfully meet customers' needs.

SCHEDULES:

• Dispatch times: 4am - 6am
• Weekends required (every Saturday and Sunday)
• Days off: Two consecutive days in the middle of the week
• Shift: 8-12 hours per day, approximately
• Stops per route: 5-10 depending on location and route
• Ability to work alone, no helper provided on route

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows.
• Maintain Department of Transportation rules
• Unloading of merchandise by the use of hand trucks
• Provide an excellent customer service experience by meeting customer needs during delivery
• 21+ years of age
• Operate 26ft. Refrigerated Straight Truck throughout NYC, NJ and Albandy, NY based on assigned route.
• Ability to work flexiable routes daily.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver License with a "clean" driving record
• Possess and able to present a valid (non-expired) interstate DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate Card
• Must be able to pass a Clearing House Query
• Ability to unload 50lbs-60lbs boxes from the truck manually
• Ability to push or pull or push 100lbs-200lbs with a hand truck
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations
