Job summary

Bartlett Rochester LLC is seeking a DOT Apprentice/Driver to join our delivery team in the NYC/NJ/CT area. You will operate a 48 ft refrigerated tractor trailer, deliver products to customers, and complete required training hours while adhering to DOT rules.

No experience is required and paid training is provided. The role requires evenings, weekend shifts, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• No experience required; paid training provided.
• CDL Class A required.
• DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows.
• Maintain Department of Transportation rules.
• Unload merchandise using hand trucks.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery.
• Operate a 48 ft refrigerated tractor trailer.

POSITION SUMMARY: This is a delivery position responsible for driving a 48ft Tractor Trailer, delivering and unloading various products for our customers. Overtime hours, working weekends and holidays, and starting at various evening start times are required in order to successfully meet customers' needs.

SCHEDULES

• Dispatch times: 3pm-5pm
• Shift end times: 3am-5am
• Weekends required (every Saturday and Sunday)
• Days off: Two consecutive days in the middle of the week
• Shift: 10-12 hours per day, approximately
• Stops per route: 10-12depending on location and route

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows
• Maintain Department of Transportation rules
• Unloading of merchandise by the use of hand trucks
• Provide an excellent customer service experience by meeting customer needs during delivery
• Operate a commercial truck safely
• 21+ years of age
• Operate 48 ft. Refrigerated Tractor Trailer with the supervision of an experienced company driver throughout NYC, NJ and CT based on assigned route.
• Successfully complete required hours of training and pass all required work, safety knowledge and driving assessments.
• Tractor Trailer Apprentices: 800 hours of training

Position Requirements

• No Driving experience required, we offer training with our apprentice program.
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver License with a "clean" driving record
• Possess and able to present a valid (non-expired) interstate DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate Card
• Possess and be able to present a valid non-expired interstate Medical Examiner's Certificate Card.
• Driving record with less than 2 moving violations
• Ability to lift 50lbs and push or pull 150lbs
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations
