Republic Services in Edwardsville, IL is seeking a Relief Driver CDL(B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal for customers. Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, route servicing, loading refuse, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Class B or higher CDL with air brakes endorsement, good customer service, and prior commercial driving experience. Shift Mon–Fri, 5am start; $25.35–$34.87 per hour with benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on designated routes and service customers.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and staff.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and spill safety.
