Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Relief Driver with CDL B to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal services. You will ensure the vehicle complies with safety standards, complete daily vehicle condition reports, and adhere to all company and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes courteous customer interactions, timely service, and maintaining vehicle readiness with daily inspections and route adherence.

Responsibilities

Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report issues.
Safely operate heavy truck along designated routes and service customers as identified by route sheet.
Operate controls to lift, load refuse, and dispose of material at designated facilities.
Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service.
Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per procedures.
Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain vehicle readiness at all times.
