Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a CDL B Pickup and Delivery Driver to operate commercial straight trucks across intra-state and inter-state routes.

The role includes loading, unloading, securing freight, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The driver will maintain DOT medical certification, complete on-board log entries, and participate in onboarding, training, and performance programs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL
• Valid DOT physical
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
• Minimum 1 year of Class B driving experience
• Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in 3 years
• Must read, write and speak English
• Must complete onboarding: drug screen, background check, MVR, PSP
• Successful completion of new-hire training: assessments, driving test, trailer test, forklift test
• Minimum 21 years of age

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial straight truck safely while adhering to state and federal regulations, traffic laws, hours of service, and hazmat requirements
• Meet DOT medical standards and maintain Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects
• Use company IT to record ELD, VIR, trips, and dispatch information
• Ensure proper cargo securement to prevent damage during transport
• Load, unload, and secure freight as required
• Maintain communication with dispatch and follow trip schedules
• Present professional conduct and represent the company with customers and team members
• Perform other duties as assigned
