Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL P&D Driver to operate company vehicles on intra- and inter-state routes. You will meet DOT standards, perform inspections, and manage cargo securely while coordinating with dispatch to meet schedules.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading freight, recording trip data, and maintaining professional conduct with customers. Minimum one year of tractor-trailer experience and on-boarding steps are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Valid DOT physical.
• Endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples.
• Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Driving record reflecting no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must complete onboarding: drug screening, background check, MVR, PSP.

Responsibilities

• Operate safely in accordance with state and federal regulations, including hours of service and hazmat requirements.
• Meet DOT medical standards and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Record ELD, VIR, trip, and dispatch information per policy.
• Ensure proper cargo securement to prevent damage during transport.
• Load, unload, and secure freight as required.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and adhere to trip scheduling.
• Exhibit professional conduct and represent the company positively with customers and team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
