Job summary

Freshpoint is seeking a driver for daily routes with frequent stops, loading and unloading packages at each stop under the Transportation Department Manager’s guidance.

The role operates in a cross-dock model, collecting a loaded truck from nightly delivery and returning empties to the lot. You may assist with loading, palletizing, and other duties as assigned by supervision, per DOT and Sysco rules.

Qualifications

• One-year route delivery experience or background driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred).
• English reading and speaking ability to converse with customers and understand signs.
• Must follow DOT regulations and Sysco policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; stack pallets with a hand cart.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain signatures; contact management for invoice discrepancies.
• Calls in when a customer does not receive their entire order (shorts); handle complaints professionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and Sysco policies.
