Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver - CDL B to safely operate a collection truck and provide reliable waste removal services to customers in the West Columbia area. You will ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, and complete vehicle condition reports daily.

The role requires strict adherence to safety policies, on-time route service, and professional interaction with customers and dispatchers to maintain high service levels.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Clean driving record with safe-safety focus.
• Ability to perform pre/post-trip inspections and document findings.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections per policy.
• Safely operate the truck along designated routes to service customers.
• Load refuse, operate the compacting equipment and dispose at designated facilities.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and co-workers daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag as needed; monitor waste quality.
