Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver - CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services to customers. Ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects in a timely manner.

The position emphasizes pre/post inspection, on-route service, loading waste, and adherence to safety policies. Strong customer service and time-management skills are essential for efficient daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle per policy and report safety issues.
• Safely operate the truck on designated routes and service customers as scheduled.
• Load refuse, operate the packer and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag as per procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable contents and maintain vehicle readiness.
• Complete route productivity sheets and required reports.
• Maintain productivity standards and follow safety policies.
• Participate in the Company's ReSOP program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
