Job summary

Clean Harbors in Omaha, NE is seeking a CDL B Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste. This entry level position supports lab packs at customer sites, HHW collections, and lab moves, working on site daily with customers.

The role is not laboratory-based and involves working at various customer locations, indoors and outdoors, with growth into management after training. Pay ranges and benefits are provided in postings.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license is required.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
• CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of employment.
• Physical functions required by job.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority and follow all safety policies.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifests, and disposal notifications.
• Inspect staging areas and drums for leaks, spills, and labeling compliance.
• Package waste chemicals for disposal while maintaining compliance.
• Conduct projects at customer locations and ensure proper shipment approvals.
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies for all projects.
