Clean Harbors in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a CDL B Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste in accordance with regulations and company policies.

This is a customer-facing role working at customer sites daily, indoors and outdoors, including HHW collections and lab moves. Training is accelerated; long-term growth into salary management positions is possible across 200+ locations.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license required.
• By position, obtain a CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of employment.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements and pass background/drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Handle, segregate, pack and inspect chemical waste per Federal/State/Local regulations and company policies.
• Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests and land disposal restriction notifications.
• Inspect storage areas, drums for leaks/spills and for labeling compliance.
• Transport and pack waste at customer sites, including Fortune 500 customers, following OSHA/EPA/DOT guidelines.
• Ensure final project preparation and shipment compliance with company policies.
