Job summary

Clean Harbors in Logan, NJ is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist CDL (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack and inspect chemical waste at customer sites and our facilities, outdoors and indoors. This field role is not lab-based and involves daily customer interaction across plants, labs, and customer sites. A Class A CDL and the ability to obtain hazmat/tanker endorsements within 60 days are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsement within 60 days of employment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Background check, drug test and physical required by position.
• Facial hair standards per respirator policy as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.34.

Responsibilities

• Handle, segregate, pack and inspect chemical waste in accordance with Federal/State/Local regulations and company policies.
• Assist with lab packs within customer facilities.
• Participate in HHW collections and lab moves.
• Work at customer sites daily in a customer-facing role.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
