Job summary

Republic Services in the United States is seeking a Driver with a CDL B to safely operate a collection truck, provide prompt service, and ensure compliance with safety standards. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, read route sheets, and service customers along your designated route.

This role emphasizes courteous customer interactions, daily vehicle condition reports, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B or higher CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Pre/post-operation vehicle inspections as per policy.
• Safe driving and courteous customer service.
• Ability to complete route sheets and reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service customers.
• Operate controls to load refuse and dispose of material.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers.
• Monitor waste quality and prevent spills.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and clean as needed.
• Complete required route productivity sheets and VCRs.
