Job summary

QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products, serving a vast market in North America. The role involves touch-freight, loading/unloading, safety compliance, and timely deliveries across sites.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Class B CDL, at least a year of verifiable driving experience, and is comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions while coordinating with dispatch and branch management.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class B CDL license in good standing.
• NCCCO & Crane Institute Certification preferred.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
