Job summary

QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products, seeking a skilled delivery driver to support loading, unloading, and safe handling of materials on-site in New York. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities include touch-freight tasks, truck inspections, load verification, and maintaining dispatch communication while adhering to DOT rules and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL in good standing.
• HMO endorsement required.
• NCCCO certification required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and manual transmission trucks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely delivery.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures; wear PPE.
