Job summary

QXO, Inc is seeking a professional truck driver to perform touch-freight, inspect loads, and ensure safe loading/unloading at job sites across the Frederick area. You will follow DOT safety procedures, communicate with dispatch, and maintain accuracy of loads while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Applicants must be 21+, hold a valid Class B CDL in good standing, and have at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class B CDL license in good standing.
• NCCCO & Crane Institute Certification preferred.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
