Job summary

Modern Builders Supply is hiring a CDL B Boom Truck Driver to deliver roofing, siding, windows and doors to job sites across the Midwest region. You will load and unload materials, fill customer orders, and maintain vehicle equipment and records.

The role requires driving to sites, rooftop work when needed, and general warehouse duties. We offer training and opportunities for advancement, with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• CDL B license required or willing to obtain one.
• Strong customer-service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Able to perform physical work and lift heavy materials.
• Comfortable working with schedule and consistent to deliver on time.

Responsibilities

• Drive to job sites to deliver roofing, siding, windows, and doors.
• Load and unload materials as needed.
• Fill customer orders accurately.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle and equipment; keep logs.
• Assist rooftop deliveries by stocking roofs with shingles via crane or conveyor.
• Perform general warehouse duties as needed.

As a CDL B Boom Truck Driver on our team, a few of your duties will include:

• driving vehicle to transport and deliver roofing, siding, windows, and doors to jobsite
• loading and unloading materials
• filling customers orders
• inspecting and maintaining vehicle equipment and supplies
• maintaining records such as vehicle logs
• assisting rooftop deliveries by stocking residential roofs with shingles via crane or conveyor
• general warehouse work including maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse and facilities as needed

We will invest in training, resources and guidance.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

A successful CDL B Boom Truck Driver candidate must be career-oriented, have initiative, ambition, and a strong interest and desire to learn the business from the ground up.

Additional qualifications for a CDL B Boom Truck Driver position include:

• Must have, or be willing and able to obtain, a CDL B
• Must be willing and able to get on rooftops to load and move materials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills with an emphasis toward customer satisfaction
• Capable of physical work
