Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) is hiring a Class A Yard/Plant Driver to join our team in the United States. The role involves moving trucks and trailers within yard and dock areas to support shipping and receiving, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintaining orderly, sanitary facilities.

Responsibilities include hooking and unhooking tractors, loading/unloading with forklift or pallet jack, documenting trailer movements, and participating in safety and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT transportation regulations and safe operation.
• Ability to work safely, recognize hazards, and adjust.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Move and position trucks/trailers within yard and dock areas.
• Hook/unhook tractors and move units to service or dock areas.
• Spot trailers for loading/unloading and connect semitrailers to tractors.
• Maintain logs of trailer movements and inventory.
• Load/unload trailers using forklift or pallet jack; perform pre/post trip inspections.
