Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is hiring a Yard Driver with a CDL A and forklift experience for a night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and alternating Wednesdays. The role pays $25.30 per hour plus a $2 per hour shift differential. You will unload trailers, move loads, verify deliveries, and provide customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Strong safety history is required; candidate must be able to lift 20–80+ lbs and operate manual transmission. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
Experience driving and operating forklifts and hand lifts.
Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.
Proven safe driving record.
Ability to operate manual transmission preferred.

Responsibilities

Unload products from trailers using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, forklift or by hand and place in designated storage areas.
Move trailers between storage locations and manufacturing facility using jockey trucks.
Verify accuracy of truck loads and obtain proper signatures.
Provide professional customer service to enhance client experience.
Lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repeatedly during each shift.
Work in inclement weather with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.
