Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is seeking a Yard Driver - CDL Required for night shifts Sunday/Monday/Tuesday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other Wednesday. The role includes unloading trailers, moving trailers, verifying loads, and delivering reliable customer service. Candidates must be 21+, hold a valid CDL A, and pass DOT qualifications.

Lifting up to 80 lbs and weather exposure are expected. The position offers a $25.30 per hour base with a $2/hour shift differential, reflecting the on-site yard

Qualifications

Responsibilities

YARD DRIVER - CDL Required

Beginning-of-Week Nights 7:00PM-7:00AM Sunday/Monday/Tuesday + every other Wednesday

$25.30 + $2/hour shift differential

• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, forklift or by hand and place in designated storage areas

• Utilize jockey trucks to move trailers between storage locations and manufacturing facility

• Verify accuracy of truck loads and obtain proper signatures

• Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required

• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications

• Experience driving and operating forklifts and hand lifts

• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required

• Proven safe driving record

• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
