Job summary

Shearer's Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator- Receiver for the day shift (7:30 am – 3:30 pm). The position pays an hourly rate of $20.55 and is part of the Raw Materials team, focusing on safe handling and accurate material transfers from trailers to storage locations.

The role requires ability to lift up to 80 pounds, willingness to obtain forklift and other equipment certifications, and flexibility to perform duties across finished goods, raw materials, and inventory management as needed.

Qualifications

• Some warehouse work experience preferred.
• Willing and able to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Accepts other duties as assigned, including but not limited to; flexing between finished goods, raw materials and inventory management as needed.

Responsibilities

• The Receiver will work as part of the Raw Materials team to ensure that daily safety, quality and production goals are met.
• The Receiver will verify that the correct raw materials and quantities are scanned to and from the trailer and transferred into the proper storage locations.
• Ensuring all storage of raw materials aligns with company standards and expectations.
• Must be willing to be certified in the operation of forklifts, floor scrubbers, propane exchange/refill, scissor or boom lifts.
