Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is hiring a Yard Driver with a CDL A and forklift experience for a night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and alternating Wednesdays. The role pays $25.30 per hour plus a $2 per hour shift differential. You will unload trailers, move loads, verify deliveries, and provide customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Strong safety history is required; candidate must be able to lift 20–80+ lbs and operate manual transmission. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Experience driving and operating forklifts and hand lifts.
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.
• Proven safe driving record.
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload products from trailers using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, forklift or by hand and place in designated storage areas.
• Move trailers between storage locations and manufacturing facility using jockey trucks.
• Verify accuracy of truck loads and obtain proper signatures.
• Provide professional customer service to enhance client experience.
• Lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repeatedly during each shift.
• Work in inclement weather with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.

• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, forklift or by hand and place in designated storage areas
