Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Vermont is seeking a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers to and from loading docks, park trailers, and transport to offsite facilities as needed. Adheres to DOT regulations and safety procedures while maintaining professional communication with teammates and vendors.

Position requires a valid CDL A, ability to work scheduled overtime, pass drug test and road test, and maintain a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 6–12 months tractor trailer experience; 21+ years old.
• Valid CDL A and ability to meet state licensing requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years and pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test and possess DOT Health Card or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections per DOT rules.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards.
• Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking.
• Handle paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure tractors/trailers/freight are secured at all times.
• Keep loading dock areas clean and perform end-of-shift tasks.
