Job summary

McLane Company, Inc is actively seeking a Yard Driver to support trailer movement within the distribution center and assist with prepping trailers for shipping. You will monitor trailer status and ensure correct loading, securing lines, and safe movement around the yard.

The role requires a Class A CDL, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a clean driving record. This position offers a day shift, competitive pay, and benefits beginning after 60 days of employment.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Two years driving experience preferred.
• 100,000-mile tractor-trailer experience preferred.
• Accident-free driving record for the past three years preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English at a level sufficient for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor, maneuver into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Inspect trailers for defects and report issues.
• Inspect loaded trailers to ensure product security and refrigeration unit operation.
• Drive within yard and on nearby roads following safety regulations.
• Perform loading/unloading and other duties as assigned.
