McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Yard Driver to support trailer movement at the distribution center and assist with trailer preparation for shipping.

You will monitor trailer status, ensure secure loading, and operate equipment safely to meet daily shipping needs. The role offers competitive hourly pay at $26.40, comprehensive benefits starting after 60 days, and opportunities for growth within a long-established national logistics network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years related driving experience is desired.
• 100,000-mile tractor-trailer experience is desired.
• Possess Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
• Accident-free driving record for the past three years desired.
• Ability to read labels and instructions and perform basic math.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a sufficient level for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer and position trailer for loading/unloading.
• Inspect trailers and report defects or issues.
• Ensure refrigeration unit functions and product security.
• Meet physical demands of the role and handle loading/unloading as needed.
• Operate within yard or nearby roads in compliance with regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
