Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Yard Driver in Orlando to support trailer movement at the distribution center and assist with trailer prep for shipping. The role monitors trailer status and ensures safe, efficient loading and unloading for multiple shifts.

Pay is competitive at $26.40 per hour with benefits beginning after 60 days, including medical/dental/vision, FSA/HSA, life insurance, vacation, sick leave, holidays, and more. Applicants must have CDL-A and a safe driving history.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years related driving experience desired.
• 100,000-mile tractor-trailer experience desired.
• Possess Class A CDL.
• Accident-free driving record for past 3 years desired.
• Ability to read and comprehend labels, instructions, bill of lading.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English well for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor, maneuver to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Clean and spot trailers to doors or lot locations.
• Inspect trailers for defects and report conditions.
• Inspect loaded trailers for secure product and functioning refrigeration unit; report issues.
• Operate tractor-trailer within yard and nearby surroundings per regulations.
• Meet the physical demands of the position.
• Load/unload and/or deliver all products as ordered by customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
